Portrait of Jorge Fuentes

Jorge Fuentes is a dear friend of Li’s family, a talented geoengineer and Zumba instructore! Fuentes helped build out Li’s art studio and an entire basement dedicated to her paintings in Grafton, MA. Li created this portrait to celebrate their friendship and show her appreciation for his support. Li and Fuentes were both born in the Year of the Dragon.

Dragon years include 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 and 2024. Those born in years of the dragon are said to be powerful, endlessly energetic and full of vitality, goal-oriented, yet idealistic and romantic, and visionary leaders.

Xiang Li and Adam Leffert successfully completed the installation of Jorge Fuentes’ portrait inside the Worcester Art Museum, as part of their Spring Festival on May 5, 2024.
